CHARLOTTE, NC — Sips & Dips is coming soon to Promenade on Providence, adding to the shopping center’s list of lifestyle-oriented retail and services on Providence Road between Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Interstate 485 in Ballantyne. The grand opening is set for Saturday, April 2, along with a series of soft opening celebrations over the next few weeks.
Sips & Dips (400 square feet) is a fresh, quick-serve “drinkery and snackery that embodies a deliciously unique and fun atmosphere with custom drinks and treats.” Catering to young and old, Sips & Dips hopes to be both a thirst- and snack-quenching quick stop as well as a mood-lifting experience.
Sips & Dips is owned and operated by Blake and Lindsay Hart, along with their four children. After years of visiting similar concept soda shops out West and hoping someone would open up something similar here some day, they decided to take matters into their own hands, make the leap and open their own.
“We chose the Promenade because we love the vibe and feel of our little structure on the green,” said Lindsay Hart, owner of Sips & Dips. “We love the water feature, the lights, the open seating and all of the open-air activities the Promenade green affords. Our little shop is light and bright and airy … full of color and fun and full of windows that open up completely to the green. We will have both indoor and outdoor ordering and pick up.”
Menu-wise, Sips & Dips offers customizable sodas, (think syrups, creams and fresh citrus garnishes) sparkling water refreshers with fresh fruit garnishes, gourmet cookies, treats, pretzel bites – both savory and sweet – as well as a variety of delicious dips. Each of the drinks are named after a perfectly paired song.
“Our drinks are amazing and unique, unlike anything you’ve ever tasted,” said Hart. “Our cookies are gourmet and sourced from local bakers who are truly at the top of their game. Our pretzels are heated to order and are also a delicious quick on-the-go snack option. We’re truly so excited for everyone to have the chance to experience Sips & Dips!”
There will be three soft openings to train the staff and help get ready for the official grand opening on Saturday, April 2:
- Saturday, March 12, 4-9 p.m. – Teen Party. If you’re a teen who likes fun drinks and treats, this one is for you! There will be a DJ, giveaways, prizes, merch, drinks and cookie specials.
- Saturday, March 19, 3-9 p.m. – Friends & Family Party. This night will be a fun night for the whole family. If you’ve followed Sips & Dips from the get-go or just found them today, they’d love to have you as their VIP guest with all sorts of fun activities, giveaways, music, drinks and treats discounts.
- Saturday, March 26, 2-7 p.m. – Kids play date at the park. This event is going to be a special play date party for kiddos to come try out the fun kids menu, while enjoying games on the green, face painting, music, activities, friends and yummy snacks.
